Yens' campaign is about rebuilding a party of principles, integrity and grassroots democracy. Everyone regardless of their present or past position is just one member, one part of dream that together we can build a province where no one is left out because of their skin colour, wealth, location, religion, culture - a province where everyone believes that we can succeed with our effort and creativity. It would be completely contrary to this idea to place more emphasis on 'big names' or 'important people' and their endorsement of Yens. Instead, this is a sampling of what people have been saying about Yens during this campaign. Some of the authors are well-known people - some are people whom few know yet.

I went to the Saskatoon Leaders Forum totally undecided. I had no idea who I would vote for in the leadership race. I was really impressed with Yens' answers at the forum and especially his closing speech. I left the Party in disappointment years ago and just recently came back. I really liked what Yens had to say about inspiring people, and not being afraid of Brad Wall. It is time to rebuild the party, and I found Yens to be inspirational. Therefore I have decided to support Yens in the leadership race. - R.F.
Yens inspired me. - V.B.
I'm impressed by Yens' thought-filled approach to the issues that face us and our descendants in this province. Yens offers wisdom and vision in approaching the environment, health, education, and economy. - S.H.
Thank you for your clear stand against the nuclear madness being promoted for and by our current government. If we as a province have the billions of dollars being touted for nuclear let's invest it in a sustainable wise future. - B.M.
I heard you speak at the CUPE Convention and I was very impressed. While you were speaking, the room was very very quiet. In fact, like they say, you could hear a pin drop! Thank you for the information on your direction for our provice, I agree with much of it and have printed it off to read in more depth. I am a member and will be voting for you. Again, thank you. - C.P.
I'm leaning towards supporting you in your bid for the leadership because your ideas suggest there's room to re-think the status quo. - M.C.
Thank you for all your hard work. We are lucky to have a person of integrity like you that is willing to take a stand on the nuclear issue. I think this will be a defining issue in Saskatchewan and in the NDP party. - C.P.
You are doing a good job of taking on the tough issues with passion and committment. - L.S.
I am impressed with your platform and also your stand on nuclear power. -R.H.
Thank you for your response regarding nuclear energy and other greenhouse gas issues. I appreciate and agree with you on all you’ve said and find the information on carbon capture helpful. Your position is clear and informative, and the kind of position I believe we need to be taking in the world today. You can count on my support. - R.M.
Even though an NDP membership would contradict our current political views, sometimes, our political ideologies can be trumped by the quality of an individual working from a different view point. We feel that the quality and substance that you bring to your party is invaluable and we hope for your success. - J.Z.
I am not typically an NDP supporter but I do think you will make a great political leader. - C.W.
